Are there hidden fees?
There are no hidden fees. We have no hidden fees. Depending on your design and the work required, your cost may be different than what was originally estimated-either higher or lower. Remember that it is an estimate, not a quote. If we are creating a 10-page website for you, and along the way, you decide to add 7 pages, 5 images and a video, you obviously realize these items will incur an additional cost.

What is a domain name?
A domain name is a specific web site address that you choose and register. My domain name is “websiteswithstyle.com”. We will help you select the best domain name to fit your branding.

What is the difference between a URL and a domain name?
It stands for “universal resource locator”. All URLs start with https:// or http://. The s means secure. http:// is has pretty much gone away because browser are showing a warring on now secure sites. This is the address typed in to view your web page on the Internet. For example, you would type in https://websiteswithstyle.com to access our home page. You could enter websiteswithstyle.com/about to see our about page. An example of a sub-domain would be blog.websiteswithstyle.com

Can I see my website while it is being made?
Yes! We’ll provide you with a link to your site so you can watch the progress as it’s being designed and let me know if want any changes. We highly encourage your input and suggestions.

Can I update my website myself?
Yes, WordPress offers a very intuitive password-protected administrator area where you can edit pages with ease from any computer.

How long does it take to have a web site designed?
The time frame is determined by the size of your web site, the complexity of your site design, and my current client design schedule. It will also depend on how long it takes for you to get needed material to me. Usually about 7-14 days for a full website.

Who owns the copyright to my website?
You own it (please note that we cannot transfer ownership of items which are not mine to transfer), with the exception of the original .PSD files, which remain under copyright of AAWD unless purchased outright. we retain the right to use an image of your web site on any part of this web site as a representation of my work, as well as a live link to your web site. Both of these conditions work to your advantage, as it will help the search engines find your web site.

What Should I Put on My Site?
That is entirely up to you. However, you should consider the goals of your web site. For example, if you want to do business your website you should include all the information about your products or services your customers need to do business, such as making a purchase. Search engines love content, so the more you say about your offerings the better. Ideally pages should be 200-300. Always include your keywords and key phrases throughout, especially near the start of each page.

What is Web Maintenance?>
What is Web Maintenance? Maintenance is a fee paid to keep your site updated with new content which you provide. Most good web sites have new content updated regularly. Fresh content is what will keep your visitors coming back. After your site is complete, you might notice something that you wish you’d worded differently, have an address or phone number change, a new service to add, etc. I’ll maintain and update your site free of charge for 30 days after it’s complete. I live in a different country. Can I order a website from you?
Sorry, but as countries impose more laws and regulations on websites it’s impossible for us to keep up.
